Can I Make These Ahead of Time?

You can make the sloppy joe mixture ahead of time. And you can bake the wonton cups ahead of time. However, this recipe is best when you fill the cups shortly before you serve and eat them.

Do I Have to Use the Vegetable Garnish On Top?

No. You can leave the onions and peppers off of all (or a few) of them if you have issues with them or have have a picky eater (my kids preferred no onions or peppers when they were young). However, the crunch and flavor of them really add a lot to their taste (and beauty).
